Join us on the beautiful Town Center Drive for the traditional Country Fest Parade. The parade staging area will be located in the Salt Lake Country Equestrian Dirt Lot the route will begin on 2200 W and Park Road (the North West entrance to City Park) it will run down Park Rd around the Softball fields to the South along the Skate Park and then turn North on Redwood Road ending with a final turn onto Towne Center Drive.
You can also, enjoy a tasty Village Inn Breakfast being served from Fire Station # 61 right on Redwood Road.

Grand Marshall: Glade McKee
Glade was born in Vernal, UT. His family moved to South Jordan when he was 7. Horses have always been a huge part of his family transportation and enjoyment. In recent years Glade has volunteered his horses and wagon, pulling residents of South Jordan in many city events including Country Fest and Light the Night.
Glade met his sweetheart LaVerl at Jordan High. He entered the Navy and served in the pacific as a radar man. He was discharged June 2, 1946 and married LaVerl June 17, 1946. They built 3 homes in South Jordan and had 7 wonderful children.
Glade worked at Kennecott copper 14 years. He then bought a machine shop selling and repairing farm equipment for 31 years, and later worked for Jordan School District in the property management. He has been part-time farmer all his life, and ran Aunt Mame's farm for her.
Glade has been of service to his community all his life, whether coaching youth basketball or helping his neighbors. He also served for many years on the Historical Committee and has been a docent since the Gale Center opened.
Come and join us for a parade breakfast, snacks or drinks, right on the parade route at the SJC Fire Station #61, 10758 S Redwood Road. Village Inn will be cooking up pancakes, eggs, sausage and hash browns. Enjoy the whole or order a la carte. Find a great place to watch the parade and enjoy breakfast while the floats and bands go by!
