Rucking
We’ve added an extra challenge to our SoJo Race Series - Rucking!
About Rucking
Rucking is simply walking with a weighted rucksack or backpack. You wear a backpack or rucksack, add weight, walk, it’s a fitness thing. And you’re already doing it. It implies action, energy, and purpose. Rucking requires strength, endurance, character and builds it too. Hiking is rucking in the mountains and urban hiking is simply called rucking.
Benefits
Rucking provides cardio that burns up to three times as many calories as walking. The weight adds resistance training to your back, shoulders, your glutes, and legs with every step - resulting in strength gains in your muscles. Rucking exercises can be done at any weight. Start small (5 to 10 pounds) and work your way up. Want more? Up the weight, increase the distance, or go faster. You get to decide.
